You remain in a yearly love and social peak until the 22nd. Like last month, the challenge is to balance your personal interests with those of others. The fact that you’re not that much in need of others can make love problematic. There is no burning desire for a relationship. Still, this is an active social period (relatively speaking) for the year. It is active romantically and with friendships.

Finance gets more complicated this month. Your financial planet Mars begins to go into retrograde motion on the 9th (this I see as a good thing – you need to slow down a bit in finance) and, after the 22nd, receives very challenging aspects. You will have to work harder to achieve your financial goals. Often, challenging aspects are good for finance. They dispel complacency. You have to pay attention and overcome the challenges. People often prosper under challenging aspects – but they do have to put in more effort than usual.

Retrograde activity once again spikes to a yearly high, matching the level reached earlier in June. From the 9th to the 12th 60 per cent of the planets are retrograde. Moreover, before and after this period the figure is 50 per cent. The pace of life, personally and in the world, slows down.

You can use these planetary retrogrades to your advantage. They give you time. You can review the various departments of your life and see where improvements can be made. Then, when the planets start moving forward again, you can move forward too. (This will happen in November and December.)

Health still needs some attention until the 22nd. Like last month there is nothing serious afoot, just the natural waxing and waning of your personal energy. This is a temporary low period. The important thing is to maintain high energy levels – to rest when tired. Low energy invites opportunistic infections into the system. Enhance the health through abdominal massage until the 22nd. Look up the reflex to the small intestine and massage it regularly. (See the chart in the health section here.) Health will improve dramatically after the 22nd and, if you like, you can enhance it further through hip massage and more attention to the kidneys. A herbal kidney cleanse might be a good idea if you feel under the weather.

The spouse, partner or current love is having a banner financial month from the 22nd onwards. He or she will pick up the slack in your finances. This is a good period to make or pay down debt, depending on your need. It is also good for tax planning and, if you’re of appropriate age, for estate planning.
